Had all kinds of help today removing a couple of fallen trees. Four buddies since high school, one from Ellijay and the others from Atlanta, took a break from their ride to help clear and stack brush. Soon after they left two Covington Conyers Cycling Club members stopped and helped until the Cricket Frog Trail was clear.

If you see maintenance volunteers on the trail with chainsaws cutting down a tree. Please, please for your safety stay far, far away. And never, ever ride or walk past a tree that is in the process of being cut down. Falling trees are unpredictable and can kill you. I would have bet money the one in the picture would fall perpendicular to the trail, but as you can see it did not.
