Our first stop was Miles College, where students experienced a campus rich in history, tradition, and opportunity. From the warm hospitality to the inspiring stories shared throughout the visit, Miles College made us feel right at home.

What an incredible 48 hours it has been on the Building Strong Futures Alabama College Tour! From walking college campuses and learning about admissions opportunities to building friendships and creating lifelong memories, our students have been fully immersed in the college experience.

As we recap the energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments from Days 1 and 2, we’re already looking ahead to our final day of the tour. One more day to learn, connect, and dream even bigger!

We are truly humbled and honored to be recognized by the Newton Chamber of Commerce for the work Building Strong Futures has been doing in our community.

For the past few years, our mission has been centered on exposing students to college campuses, giving them the opportunity to see, experience, and imagine what college life could look like for them. To have those efforts acknowledged with such a prestigious award is both humbling and encouraging.

This recognition only strengthens our commitment. We will continue to do the work, pouring into our students, supporting their dreams, and serving our community with purpose and heart.
