Today marked the fourth and final day of the 31st Teamsters International Convention.

It was an honor for Teamsters Local 396 to attend and represent our strong and proud membership throughout the week.

We return home energized, united, and ready to continue fighting for the working men and women we represent every day.

Thank you to all the delegates, alternates, and members who helped make this convention a success.

Day 3 of the Teamsters 31st Convention showcased the strength, unity, and solidarity that power our union from coast to coast.

Teamsters Local 396 was especially proud to see our volunteer Amazon organizers recognized during the convention program for their dedication and commitment to helping workers build power on the job. Their efforts continue to inspire organizing campaigns across the country and demonstrate what can be achieved when workers stand together.

Congratulations to Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman on their reelection to a second five-year term leading the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Under the O’Brien-Zuckerman administration, the Teamsters have organized more than 100,000 new members, secured historic contracts, strengthened the union’s finances and continued building worker power across North America.

Congratulations as well to the newly elected General Executive Board, including Teamsters Local 396 Secretary-Treasurer Victor Mineros, who was re-elected as a Western Region Vice President.

Teamsters Joint Council 42

Teamsters Joint Council 42 President Victor Mineros opened the Teamsters 31st International Convention in Las Vegas, welcoming delegates as Teamsters gathered to chart the union's future and celebrate victories won by rank-and-file members.

Thousands of Teamsters from across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico came together to reflect on the historic gains achieved under the O'Brien-Zuckerman administration, from securing the strongest UPS contract in history to organizing 100,000 new members in just four years.

On the first day of the convention, General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman reported that the Teamsters have more than $1 billion in total assets and over $365 million in the Strike and Defense Fund, ensuring the union remains strong and prepared to support members when they take action.

Delegates also heard from Nevada State AFL-CIO Executive Secretary-Treasurer Susie Martinez, a member of Teamsters Local 986, and UPS Teamsters from across the country, who shared their experiences, victories and priorities for the next round of bargaining.

Day 1 concluded with the unanimous passage of a resolution recommitting the International Union to enforcing the UPS contract and reclaiming work from nonunion subcontractors.
