Here is the NPR report on this past weekend’s 100th anniversary of “The General” along with the visit by the Damfinos, Buster Keaton super fans, from around the country. Their tour included a stop at the Cottage Grove Museum to view the collection of photos shot in Cottage Grove during the making of the film, now regarded as a masterpiece of the silent film era. You can see the special photo exhibit during this month each Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4pm at the museum.

100 years ago, silent film star Buster Keaton filmed The General in Cottage Grove, Ore. Fans are gathering there to celebrate the making of an epic early film.

Good News for anyone who missed the special Buster Keaton in Cottage Grove Photo exhibit this past weekend, the exhibit will remain up through September. Come in and see the collection of candid shots of Buster Keaton and the crew in Cottage Grove as they were making the masterpiece of the silent movie era, "The General"

The Cottage Grove Museum is ready for Buster Keaton Fans as well as locals ready to see the special "The General" photo exhibition. Museum Volunteers have dug out lots photos rom the archives of Buster Keaton in Cottage Grove while he was filming.
