Harrison County Community Services Harrison County Community Services, Inc. (HCCS) was founded in 1976 and is the identified point of entry into low income human services for the county.

We are located at 101 Hwy 62 West in Corydon, Indiana. The direct service programs at HCCS provide a safety net for families by reducing the effects of poverty in our community through the Food Pantry, Crisis Assistance, and more.

State Health Insurance Program (SHIP)

HCCS provides four SHIP counselors trained to provide objective, confidential counseling to people with health insurance questions. This can include, but is not limited to, questions related to Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Managed Care Plans, Long Term Care Insurance, help with prescription costs and low-income assistance.

Mobile Food Pantry day is here! Distribution begins at 2:00pm at the South Central Elementary School campus and continues until 3:30pm. When you get to the campus, go to the end of the line in the parking lot, and remain in your car. All food boxes will be placed in your trunk as you pass the staging area. If you are seeing this after 3:30pm, we are sorry you missed this month's mobile pantries. We look forward to seeing you the second Saturday in November.

The Mobile Office will be at Central Bethel Community Church, 7220 Central Dr SW, Central, today from 1:30-3:30pm. Stop by and check it out! You are able to receive any services at the Mobile Office that you can receive at the Main Office in Corydon, including food and clothing -- just closer to home! Share this with your friends!

🛒 HELP US KEEP OUR SHELVES FULL! 🛒
​At Harrison County Community Services, we work hard to keep our Corydon pantry stocked for local families—and we could use your help! We often get asked, "What items do you need most?"

​To help answer that, we’ve put together a list of the most requested shelf-stable foods, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning supplies:

​🥫 Most-Needed Food Items:
• Canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon)
• Hearty soups, stews, and chili
• Peanut butter and jelly
• Canned fruit & vegetables
• Pasta and pasta sauce
• Boxed meals (Hamburger Helper, Mac & Cheese, Rice-A-Roni)
• Breakfast items (cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix & syrup)

​🧴 Hygiene & Personal Care:
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Body wash & bar soap
• Toothpaste & toothbrushes
• Deodorant
• Feminine hygiene products
• Toilet paper

​🧹 Household & Cleaning Supplies:

Yesterday, Harrison County Community Services welcomed a record number of local families to our food pantry. To every neighbor who walked through our doors seeking support: thank you for trusting us to be part of your network during challenging times. Reaching out isn’t always easy, but ensuring our community stays fed and supported is why we are here.
​We are deeply moved by the way Corydon and Harrison County show up for one another. To our dedicated staff and wonderful volunteers who worked tirelessly to serve everyone with dignity and care, and to every donor whose generous contributions fill our shelves—thank you.
