Harrison County Challenger Ball Team A baseball league for kids with disabilities coached by 2 parents with children with special needs. Coach Shannon Fravel and Coach Doug Melton.

We started this team 9 years ago in 2005

Challenger Ball provides an opportunity for physically (ambulatory and non ambulatory) and developmentally challenged children (starting at age 5), teens and young adults to experience the fun of playing baseball. The team stresses the basics of ball with the primary purpose of having fun, exercise for each player and the experience of being part of a tea

m regardless of skill level or ability. "BUDDIES" help their challenged partners catch, throw, field and get around the bases. This can be a parent, caregiver, sibling, etc. Lighter weight bats and balls are used; t-ball stand can be used. Every player will bat and play defense. Each team bats the full roaster before the side retires. There are no outs or score kept during the game. All of our Challenger players are winners. SPRING BALL only is $25 to play and each player receives a team jersey and a hat . Professional photographs will be offered and a trophy is presented to each participant at the end of the spring season. Fall Ball is FREE

Games are on Sundays from 4-5pm at the Friends of Harrison County Youth Fields in Corydon by the YMCA

Time flys by way too fast when we’re having fun! Today was the last game of the season but….

We have some good news! We added one more game🥎

We have scheduled our banquet for
Sunday June 7th and we will be playing one more game together.

We will play 4-5pm then afterwards we will have a pitch in dinner under the shelter house by the field.
