Tuesday evening weekly trail work 9/8/26 from 3pm to 6pm ish at Boggy. There will be beverages following trail work!!!

Work description - Trail flow maintenance, trimming, buffing tread, and cleaning drainages.

Parking - Main Boggy TH.

Work and tool location - Tools will be at parking area. We will split up into groups and work in various sections. Plan on hiking or biking in. If you have not received safety instructions you will need to find a trail leader before starting work.

This is an exciting opportunity to improve the local trail system which would not exist if it was not for volunteers like you. Tools are very sharp so please do not use them with flimsy footwear! Wear sturdy footwear and bring gloves, water, sun protection, hat, snacks and eye protection. Before starting work you will need to sign a SWCCA waiver and BLM waiver. Work description - Cleaning drainages that filled up with debris from the epic rains. Trimming, buffing and general maintenance.

Parking - Park in pullout overlooking Dolores on road 31 where road curves to go up canyon towards Boggy.

SPECIAL MORNING SESSION of Tuesday weekly trail work 7/28/26 from 9am to noonish at Overlook trail to beat the heat. Beverages following trail work!!!

Work description - Fixing May Canyon sections. We know about the desire to get the McPhee Overlook trail off the crappy old road but until we get permission to perform more substantial maintenance, or a minor road reroute on the May Canyon crossing, we are stuck with trying to constantly band aid drainage issues on the existing route. The old road grade is not sustainable and slippery loose rocks on the tread are one of the undesirable results. The recent rains have impacted this section even more than usual so we will perform drainage maintenance, trimming and buffing tread.

Parking - Main McPhee Overlook TH in Dolores by Cemetery.

Great opportunity to throw down some hot laps!

Coming this summer. Montezuma County MTB races! These are all going to be xc styled and will be free to enter. We want to just help build some mountain bike community and have fun with each other. There will definitely be some type of fun twist at each race. Each course is around 2-3 miles in length and we will have a 2 lap or 3 lap option. We will lightly mark the courses but each night will start with us doing a lap pre-ride before the races start.

July 21: Meet at Boggy OG trailhead
July 28: Meet out at String Bean area
Aug 11: Dolores Cemetery
Aug 18: Upper Chicken Creek Trailhead

Work description - Trail flow maintenance, trimming, buffing tread, and cleaning drainages.

Parking - Drive past the main Boggy TH on FS 527 about 4 miles and park by the corral just before the first cattle guard. Please don’t park in front of corral or block it.

Work and tool location - Plan on hiking in to the canyon downhill section on Shush. Tools will be at the parking location. If you have not received safety instructions you will need to find a trail leader before starting work.
