• Private, personal information published without consent and could potentially be used to perpetrate identity fraud.
• Violate any law or encourages illegal activity.
• Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.
• False, vicious, or malicious statements concerning any employee.
• Unsolicited business proposals or endorsements/promotion of commercial services, products, or entities, including spam.
• Endorsements of political parties, candidates, or groups.
• Discriminatory based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, sex, gender identity or expression, marital status, status regarding public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, covered medical condition, sexual orientation, military or veteran’s status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law. The City of Cortez reserves the right to terminate a person’s ability to post comments/materials or otherwise participate in the City’s social media tools when the person has posted any of the above listed inappropriate comments/materials

Puzzle race tomorrow! For any last-minute entrants we have two slots left for individuals or a team of two

The race is this Thursday, August 27th from 4 to 6 PM at the Cortez Public Library.

Teams of up to 4 people will compete to complete a 500-piece puzzle to see who can finish first! This time, all puzzles are the same. Open to adults, teens, families with tweens. Call or register in person. Individuals can be assigned to a team. Limited to 5 teams of 4 (20 people). Small snacks provided. Top team will win a small prize, but fun and friendly competition for all.

At the Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event last night, Onward A Legacy Foundation presented a check for $5,000 to the Cortez Public Library in support of the library's subscriptions to provide access to valuable resources to the community. The $5,000 comes from the Onward Foundation's established Library Endowment Fund and is a disbursement of the investment income of that fund. Library patrons will be able to start borrowing ebooks and eaudiobooks from Hoopla on August 18th.

An Important reminder:
August 17 is the LAST day to read or listen on CloudLibrary. After that, CloudLibrary will no longer be available.
Access to Libby and ComicsPlus will remain available and unchanged.
