As you know we’re hosting an event July 18, 2026 10am-2pm where pilots will judge the cars, and classic car aficionados will judge the planes. Our event will feature categories such as oldest plane and car, newest plane and car, most aesthetically pleasing plane and car, and the least visually appealing plane and car. Do you have an awesome looking bike or a less appealing bike? Is your bike older than dirt? How long was your flight here? We even have an award for the farthest flown to attend. If you know someone who pilots an unconventional aircraft, we'd love for them to join us. Lots of awards to hand out for planes, cars and bikes plus take a flight with Great Lakes Flight Center or take a super cool flight in Whiskey 7.
Plane/Flying clubs that are specific to the airplanes your group flies (Cessna, Vans Aircraft, Mooney, Piper J-3, etc) we have awards for you as well. Let’s see how many can show up at the event. The club with the most attending will receive an award.

This year's scholarship recipient is Finn Johnson, a local young individual with a strong enthusiasm for aviation. His career aspirations include becoming an airline pilot, potentially flying passengers to their upcoming destinations. Please extend a warm welcome to Finn if you encounter him in the community. Additionally, he will be receiving one of the recently donated headsets.

I had some Corsair planes cut at work today. A local powder coating shop has graciously said they would powder coat them for free. 😊
They’ll be up for raffle during the fly-in July 18. They are 20 inches long by 7 inches in height.
*Originally the Corsairs had 3 blade propellers but later changed to a 4 blade propeller in later models.*
