10 months without Avery. 😢🩵
This month, I just wanted to share the love Avery had for ALL animals. Not just cats and dogs, but honestly, anything living.
She loved going on walks and finding salamanders. I’m still not sure why, because those things were never going in the house. 😂 She loved turtles so much that she even went to a sea turtle camp down south.
Before cancer, Avery wanted to be a dolphin trainer because she loved the water and everything dolphin-related. She loved going to Free Rein Animal Drive-Throughs because she felt the animals could be free there, unlike in zoos.
As she got older, I told her I could see her becoming an animal cruelty officer. Behind that sweet smile was one tough little person, especially if she ever saw someone hurting or abusing an animal. She would have fought for them with everything she had.
Avery was such an old soul with a heart of gold. 💛 She had a love for animals that was just a part of who she was, and I hope that love is something we can all carry forward in her memory.
So today, hug your pets a little tighter, help an animal that needs it, and remember that every living thing deserves kindness and love.
As a mother’s advice take lots of pictures, say yes to vacations, say yes to walks because sometimes the smallest things end up being the big things.
10 months without you, Avery. Your love for animals will always live on.
