DCCC doing great work! Happy to play a part!

Today we say THANK YOU to 3 important non-profit partners who positively impact our patient care. Often we discover hardships, causing stress and anxiety, when our clinical staff complete the social determinants of health questionnaire with patients.
Outer Banks Relief Foundation, Inc. assists eligible patients to pay utilities or rent to help them through a crisis.
Interfaith Community Outreach offers financial assistance to qualified patients to help with treatment needs.
Our Epic Project has awarded us grants, allowing us to expand our mental health services and partnered with us to put on wellness events

What a week! 💙 Our EPIC family had the most amazing time in Corolla, enjoying new experiences, making memories and having the opportunity to rest and reconnect together.

This retreat wouldn’t have been possible without every person, business and organization that donated meals, experiences, services or time throughout the week.

We’re honored to welcome two incredible veterans and their families to our 2026 EPIC Mental Health Retreats. 💙

Master Sergeant Wayne Anders, U.S. Army, will be joining us in Corolla next week, followed by Master Gunnery Sergeant Richard Anderson, U.S. Marine Corps, who will join us in Hatteras in just a few weeks.

Both men have dedicated so much of their lives to serving others, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to now give something back — a week to slow down, spend time with family and create meaningful memories together on the Outer Banks.

We can’t wait to have Wayne and Richard, along with their families, with us this year. Stay tuned as we share more from each retreat. 💙

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.

Too often, men are told to “tough it out,” stay silent, or carry the weight alone. The reality is that mental health challenges affect millions of men every year, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

This month, and every month, let’s continue creating space for honest conversations, meaningful connections, and support without judgment. Check in on the men in your life—and if you’re struggling, know that help is available.
