Just four weeks ago we had the privilege to host this awesome couple.

Our hearts are saddened by the passing of Dave last week. He fought a hard as he battled glioblastoma brain cancer.

🙏Please keep his wife Darra and all those who knew him in prayer as they grieve this tremendous loss.

💜We consider each family we are gifted to serve as part of our family.

Please share — sweet Camryn needs a lifesaving living kidney donor.

Camryn Frey is an energetic, sassy little girl who was unexpectedly diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Disease and a Wilms tumor in March 2025. At 2½ years old, she went from playing to being hospitalized in the PICU after swelling, loss of appetite, and very high blood pressure. She had a bilateral nephrectomy, chemotherapy, and months of dialysis (hemo in hospital and peritoneal at home). Despite everything, Camryn is joyful and resilient — but she needs a kidney transplant to have a chance at a normal childhood.

We are hoping for a living donor so Camryn can get a transplant this summer. If you are healthy, willing to be tested, and want to learn more about being a living kidney donor, please:

Mother’s Day reminds us of the quiet strength and faithful love God often shows through mothers. From comforting words to daily sacrifices, a mother’s care reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father.

The Bible says in Proverbs 31:28, “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” Today we honor the women who pray, encourage, teach, and love with patience even on difficult days.

Whether your mother is beside you today or held in cherished memory, take time to thank God for the gift of her influence. May every mother be reminded that her work is seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

Lord, thank You for the mothers and mother figures who bless our lives with love and wisdom. Strengthen them, encourage them, and fill their hearts with peace and joy today. Amen.

🏖️We already have a full summer hosting families. Our first guests of the year are enjoying a week of respite this week! They have traveled from Ohio.

🏖️We are grateful for the opportunity to serve each one. We've also sent out quite a few care packages to offer some love and encouragement.

🏖️Do you know someone or a family that could use a time of Respite? A time to rest and heal while going through a traumatic medical crisis. A family that may be financially, emotionally, and physically depleted due to their struggle?

🏖️Is your family broken and hurting due to a cancer diagnosis, a veteran struggling with PTSD, a chronic illness such as EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), a sudden loss, or other traumatic medical crisis?

🏖️A time of respite at our home has benefited patients who need the time to get prepared for that next treatment or surgery. It's a time to focus on family and relationships.

💜We have seen broken families come back together and heal. We have witnessed families come to God where the real healing begins. We have witnessed families regroup after the loss of a loved one.

This is not a vacation home. This is a one-time event to be shared with families who need to benefit from a time of respite with their families during their crisis. We provide a place for rest for the weary and encouragement for the heavyhearted.

Our home is available year-round! The beach can be a healing place not just in the summer months. The fall and winter months are quiet and peaceful.
