Everyone should visit the library and take a look yourself!!

Last night we had the honor of presenting scholarships to 6 fine, young members of our community!!

In case you wonder what happens to the proceeds from our 2 shows (The Wildlife Festival and The Arts & Crafts Festival), it always goes back to our community! With your help we are able to pay it forward.

Please join us in congratulating these seniors and wish them great success in their next chapter of their lives!

During this month's meeting we had Interfaith Community Outreach visit to share the details of their wonderful organization that helps those in need in Currituck County as well as Dare County.

Jenniffer Albanese explained that their 3 person staff and 50 volunteers served approximately 1000 individuals with various serves in several categories.

ICO helps Cancer Patients, Veterans, Disaster Recovery, Emergency Services, Home Rehabs, Energy (power, propane, etc.) Assistance, and a new program called "Sound of Mind" which helps those with mental health and substance abuse.

We have all been touched with tough times, emergency needs, sickness, and/or unexpected expenses so knowing these services are available is a true blessing.

We contribute annually to this organization from the proceeds of our fundraising events, and you can help as well!!!

If you feel led to monetarily contribute, wish to volunteer, or attend one of their fundraisers, please contact Jenniffer at 252-480-0070 or visit their website at www.Interfaith Community Outreach to find out more about their organization and ways to help.

Thank you Interfaith Community Outreach for supporting our community!!

During last month's meeting we had special guests, Don and April Fisher, from the Pilmoor Food Pantry (252-232-2136 pilmoorumc.org) out of Pilmoor Memorial United Baptist Church at192 Courthouse Road in Currituck.

Their goal is to show compassion, understanding, and to provide a welcoming environment for those who enter their doors.

They served an average of 45 families and 150 individuals per month during 2024 with items such as food, toiletries, baby items, and household goods (laundry soap, etc.) to help those in need, but hope to do more due to ever-growing needs in our community.

How can you help?

*Volunteer - They are open Mondays and Wednesday from 10 to 1
*Donate - They accept monetary donations, food, baby wipes, diapers, sanitary products, laundry detergent, soap, toilet paper, and anything that a typical household uses each month.
*Pass the Word - Let others know about their wonderful facility or let folks who need help stretching their budgets about this source.

Together we can all help our community!!
