🎨🪵 Artful Connections in Action! 🪵🎨

Today’s woodworking class was a wonderful display of creativity, craftsmanship, and connection! Participants in our Artful Connections program rolled up their sleeves and dive into hands-on projects, shaping wood into meaningful pieces while sharing stories, laughter, and encouragement along the way.

From sanding and assembling to adding the finishing touches, it was inspiring to see each individual’s unique vision come to life. These classes aren’t just about building with wood—they’re about building confidence, friendships, and a sense of accomplishment.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us today and made the experience so special. We can’t wait to see what you create next! 💛

Today, residents of Corson Hall Personal Care gathered on the Corson Porch to enjoy refreshing slushies on a beautiful day. 🍧

Laughter filled the air as friends shared stories, soaked up the sunshine, and embraced moments of fellowship and connection.

It’s these simple joys—good weather, engaging conversation, and time together—that make each day so special. 💛

We’re kicking off Monday by celebrating a wonderful Friday filled with community, fun and generosity:

🌱 Trailside Organic Farm Market brought fresh flavors and local goodness, giving residents and guests a chance to enjoy the best of the season.

🎉 Benevolent Care Bingo, hosted by the Cornwall Manor Society, was a fantastic success! Thanks to everyone who participated, we raised $831 to support Benevolent Care—a vital program that assists residents who have outlived their financial resources.

💙 We’re so grateful for the spirit of giving and connection that makes our community so special. Here’s to another great week ahead!

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

Today we honor the symbol that represents our nation’s history, unity, and enduring values—the American flag. Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the Stars and Stripes in 1777, reminding us of the sacrifices made for our freedom and the ideals that continue to bring us together as a country.

✨ Thank you for joining us for our Flag Day Celebration!
On Saturday, June 13th, residents gathered around the fountain for a meaningful ceremony honoring our nation’s flag. We were proud to host a ceremonial changing of the flags presented by the Lebanon Valley Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, Unit PA-65.

This special event provided a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and reflect on the history and symbolism of the American flag.

We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make it such a memorable morning of honor, service, and community spirit. 🇺🇸

From historic charm to hands-on farm fun, Days 2–4 were filled with unforgettable experiences on Maryland’s Eastern Shore! We explored the rich history of Mount Harmon Plantation, enjoyed a unique “dine around” in Chesapeake City, and cruised the scenic C&D Canal.

Day 3 brought us closer to the land with visits to a lavender farm, alpaca farm, and a delicious farm-to-table lunch—plus plenty of sweet treats along the way!

We wrapped up our journey in the quaint town of North East with local history, a waterfront lunch, and a visit to Fairwinds Farm. It was the perfect ending to a trip full of great food, beautiful scenery, and lasting memories. 💙

📬💙 Building Bridges Across Generations 💙📬

Since the 2021–2022 school year, Cornwall Manor residents and Cornwall Elementary 4th graders have connected through a special Pen Pal program—growing from 42 students and 31 residents to an impressive 75 students and 67 residents in the 2025–2026 school year.

Letters exchanged throughout the year foster meaningful friendships while helping students strengthen their composition, spelling, and grammar skills—resulting in clear improvement.

Each year concludes with an in-person celebration, where pen pals finally meet and celebrate the connections they’ve built. We’re proud to support a program that brings generations together and creates lasting memories. 💌✨

This timeless game, with roots dating back thousands of years, combines friendly competition with easy-to-learn rules, making it perfect for players of all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or trying it for the first time, bocce offers the ideal mix of strategy, skill, and laughter.

Games take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the Bocce Courts on the Buckingham Mansion grounds, creating plenty of opportunities to join in, stay active and connect with neighbors. It’s more than just a game—it’s a chance to build friendships, share smiles, and enjoy a little lighthearted competition.

Day 1: Maryland Eastern Shore Bay Overnight 🌊☀️

Our residents departed yesterday for a four-day, three-night Life Engagement Trip to Maryland’s Eastern Shore Bay—and what a wonderful start it was!

The journey began with a scenic drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, offering breathtaking views and setting the tone for a relaxing getaway. Once we arrived, residents enjoyed exploring charming waterfront towns filled with unique shops, rich maritime history and the welcoming spirit of the Eastern Shore.

Lunch was a highlight, featuring fresh, local flavors—especially the region’s famous seafood 🦀—all enjoyed with beautiful waterfront views. The afternoon brought more sightseeing, plenty of laughter and opportunities to take in the beauty of the bay.

As the day came to a close, a stunning sunset over the water provided the perfect ending to an already memorable first day.
Always something to do at Cornwall Manor—where residents stay active, engaged, and continue to enjoy meaningful experiences both on campus and beyond!
