All of Heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents!🙌🏼

The community of Kaptien celebrated with 35 baptisms. 35 people who made the decision to follower of Christ and a life long disciple!

Here is a little story from that day:

“On Monday, Scott, his wife Susan, and I had visited a young woman named Sarah during our follow-ups. Sarah suffers from severe sickle cell disease and was experiencing tremendous pain. During our visit, she gave her life to Christ.
On Thursday, despite her pain, Sarah made the approximately 25-minute walk to the baptism location with the help of a friend because she wanted to be baptized.
Scott had the privilege of baptizing her.
Watching Sarah’s obedience to Christ despite her suffering was something I don’t think any of us will soon forget. What an incredible testimony of faith!”

We post on our blog every time we take a trip down to Kenya, and it truly is a refreshment and encouragement to our soul.
Here is a short excerpt from our mist descent blog posted about our trip we got back from:

“We arrived as people going on a mission trip together, but we’re leaving as friends. And I believe each of them will return home as ambassadors for The Filter Project and the work God is doing in Kenya.
But perhaps my biggest personal takeaway from this trip has been my own missionary team.
These men and women have so little compared to what most of us have in America, yet their joy in Christ is overwhelming. Their faith is strong, their love is genuine, and their prayers are constant.
They pray for me. They pray for our donors. They pray for this ministry and for the families we serve.
And if I’m being transparent, it convicts me.
Sometimes I wonder whether my own faith, joy, and excitement for Christ measure up to what I see in them. They remind me that our joy isn’t”

Here is a little excerpt from our new blog post from our team in Kenya right now🙌🏼💦:

“On Tuesday, we switched missionary teams and headed back out for another day of follow-ups.
One visit was especially meaningful to me.
Several weeks ago, our Kenyan media team filmed the story of a woman named Jacqueline. She shared her testimony about coming to Christ and her desire to be baptized. We shared her story on TFP’s Instagram and pages.
Today, I actually got to meet Jacqueline in person.
Even better, I had the opportunity to sit with her and participate in her follow-up.
There was something really special about seeing her story through a camera from thousands of miles away and then sitting face-to-face with her in her home here in Kenya.
Those are the moments that make all of this real.
We ended the day back at the church. There is a school across the road, and the Easthaven team brought jump ropes and soccer balls for the children. One of the ladies from Easthaven also brought a puppet and used it to share the gospel with the kids.
Watching our guests jump in and love on these children has been another highlight of the trip.
And sometimes ministry here gives you stories you simply couldn’t plan.
One of the Easthaven team members, Peter, was sitting in a home during a follow-up this evening talking with a woman who was holding her baby.
As they were talking, she began nursing her child.
Then two chickens casually walked into the house.
And as if Peter didn’t already have enough distractions, the family cow stuck its head toward the doorway, stared directly at him, and began mooing loudly into the house.
Welcome to follow-ups in Kenya.
But through the baby, the chickens, the cow, and everything else going on around them, the gospel was shared.
And that woman gave her life to Christ.
That is what this week is about.”

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting a Filter Assembly Event with our incredible Business on Mission partners Arize Restoration, Give Clean Co., and LionHeart Foundation! 💧

These amazing partners have supported The Filter Project for two years in a row, and we are so thankful for their continued commitment to making a difference around the world!

Because of businesses like these, more families are receiving access to clean water and hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ. 🌍✝️

THANK YOU for partnering with us and being part of the mission!!

Our missionary team has been assessing a new location in the Matasi Ward sub division! This is a little sneak peek of what we are doing and what you can look forward to helping us with! We’ll announce further details and ways you can offer support, but as we continue working we encourage your prayer and we are so thankful the Lord has brought us this far into assessing and distributing filters for communities and families in need of clean and living water💦🙏🏼
Thank you for praying for Kipsongo. We look forward to this new area where people can hear the Gospel and receive a way to clean their water

Kipsongo is COMPLETE!!🙌🏼

Filters have been given out, our missionaries have covered the whole area of Kipsongo, and communities have been believing in the Gospel!

Whether you gave, prayed, traveled with us, encouraged our missionaries, or shared The Filter Project with someone else, you are part of this story and all that has gone on in Kipsongo.

Thank you for helping us finish the Kipsongo Sublocation Campaign well.

Kipsongo is complete. But the mission isn’t.

Our team is already assessing the next area of Matisi Ward — Matisi Sublocation — and we can’t wait to share what comes next.

Keep an eye out next week for the official announcement of our next campaign.

Meet Jackline! Listen to her testimony about how her life changed forever after hearing the Gospel through clean water💦

Jackline is one of many people here in Kenya who’s lives are sitting in spiritual and or physical poverty. Our clean water filters help provide a physical solution to families in need of clean drinking water, while our missionaries do routine check ups, bringing Jesus and the good news of the Gospel with them!
