Please join us in welcoming our newest member, Tom McClure, to the Corbin Kiwanis Club!

Tom brings extensive experience working with charitable organizations around the world, and has dedicated much of his service to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. His passion for helping others and commitment to strengthening communities make him a valuable addition to our club.

Picking up with our member spotlight series, we were pleased to welcome our newest member Tom McClure to introduce himself to the club. Tom spoke on his extensive experience working with world-wide charities and in particular his passion for working with individuals and families suffering from addiction.

Tom shared the Spotlight with a featured guest, Dr. Kathy Blades-Walczak, formally a professor at Union Commonwealth University, Dr. Blades-Walczak serves with Tom as co-chair of Tri-County Elks Drug Awareness Committee. The Elks program is a component of Elks National Initiative aimed at education of children and youth.

Exciting news for the Corbin Kiwanis Club!

At our officer induction meeting we were honored to hear from Kentucky-Tennessee Kiwanis District Governor Larry Dobson. He shared that the Corbin Kiwanis Club is the fastest-growing Kiwanis club in the nation!

This achievement reflects the dedication, service, and community spirit of our members. Thank you to everyone who has joined us in making a difference.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Belk Charity Sale!

What an incredible two days! This event was a tremendous success, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make it happen!

First, a huge thank you to everyone who purchased tickets. Your support directly benefits Corbin Kiwanis Club scholarships and community programs, helping us make a positive impact throughout our community.

A special thanks to our fellow Kiwanians who volunteered their time staffing the table, sharing information about our club, and talking with community members about the work we do. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase how Kiwanis lives out its mission of serving others and improving the lives of children and families.

Thank you to Vincent and everyone at Belk for their hospitality and generosity in providing space for our club during this Spring’s Charity Sale.

Finally, a most special thank you to Gracie for spending part of her Friday volunteering alongside us! Her willingness to serve, her compassion, and her dedication to helping others are a great reminder that the future is bright with the next generation of community leaders.
