Compassion United

Compassion United We exist to empower and equip the homeless, poor & under-resourced in Montgomery County and beyond.

What started in 2006 as a simple, God-given vision to feed the homeless, Compassion United, has grown into the most comprehensive support ministry in all Montgomery County. Now, over a decade later, serving people is still at the heart of all we do yet with a more defined, dynamic purpose to provide outreach, relief and empowerment to those on fringes of society. OUTREACH - We have built a family

of programs that go into hurting areas to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of our neighbors. RELIEF - Whether it be food, clothing, hygiene items or spiritual guidance, our programs bring relief to those in need introducing hope into their darkness. EMPOWERMENT - For those seeking change in their life, our transition homes provide an individualized roadmap to success through a holistic recovery model. With passionate leadership and vital community partnerships, Compassion United continues to press forward in incredible ways to transform communities by serving their forgotten, marginalized and hopeless. We’ve seen hundreds of people come out of homelessness and addiction to find a new life, and we believe this is just the beginning. With the support of generous partners, we know that we will continue to see hope restored and futures transformed.

Thoughts from Terri, our director of Transitional Housing as we finish the move-out and clean up at the rental homes we have used as transitional homes for over 15 years.

"A big take away for me from the trauma training I have participated in is the idea that 2 things can be true at the same time. I can be thrilled, grateful, & hopeful about all the possibilities coming from the new Transition Houses. But I can also be a bit sad, empty & lost as the old houses get closed down.

Kyle and I finished the last few housekeeping items at the old houses today and I find myself amazed at how much they changed & grew me. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them and the men and women who lived there. So goodbye to Hosanna House & goodbye Freedom House you will forever be treasured. Now onward to new beginnings!"

For more than 20 years, Compassion United has provided breakfast and support to those experiencing homelessness at the Park and our campuses. We’re grateful to Texas Medical Association, US Anesthesia Partners - USAP and Allendale Baptist - Conroe for joining us last weekend. With bicycle helmets, school supplies, and fun activities, our clients felt truly supported. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
