We are incredibly honored to welcome Sergeant James Watson as our guest speaker at this year’s 2026 Danny Dietz World Championship Cookoff! Danny Dietz Cookoff & Kids Q

Sgt. Watson’s entire life has been defined by a deep commitment to service, leadership, and the protection of others, both at home and abroad. Inspired to serve following the events of September 11, Sgt. Watson enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2004. In 2006, he deployed to Iraq as a Combat Tracking Dog Handler, conducting critical operations in Fallujah and Ramadi. Following an honorable discharge in 2008, he transitioned his passion for protection to law enforcement.

Over his distinguished police career, he has built extensive experience in patrol operations, narcotics investigations, and undercover human trafficking investigations. Today, he serves as a Patrol Sergeant with the Fort Bend County Constable’s Office, Precinct 1, where he leads and mentors deputies to enhance public safety.

Beyond his incredible career in uniform, Sgt. Watson holds a very special place in our organization as a proud Navy SEAL Danny Dietz Foundation grant recipient. His resilience and continued dedication to serving others represent exactly what our foundation stands for—turning sacrifice into strength.

Come out to support our mission, enjoy some world-class BBQ, and hear Sgt. Watson share his powerful journey!
