With heavy hearts, we share the passing of one of our beloved founding members.
Charles Tullos
His vision, dedication, and passion helped build the foundation of The Friends of Conroe, the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival and the traditions that have brought our community together.
For more than 35 years, The Friends of Conroe has been a part of this community, creating memories, bringing people together, supporting local students, and giving back to the place we call home. Those beginnings were made possible by individuals who cared enough to step forward, dream big, and put their hearts into something bigger than themselves.
We are forever grateful for the time, heart, and commitment he gave to our organization. His contributions will always be a part of our history, and his legacy will live on through the work we continue to do and the community we serve.
Today, we remember not only a founding member, but a friend, a familiar face, and someone whose contributions will forever be woven into the history of our organization.
While their absence will be deeply felt, the legacy they helped build will continue through the work we do and the community we serve.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
You were part of our beginning, and you will forever be part of our story. Rest in peace. You will be deeply missed.
