The Cut and Shoot Family Lions Club Hoedown is fast approaching! Mark your calendars for September 26th. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. There are a multitude of ways to support our club and our charities. Come to the Hoedown, have a great time, and go home with several auction items that you just couldn't resist! Make yourself special by purchasing one of our VIP tables. Or, purchase an ad in our Hoedown Program Booklet. All these and more are available to purchase. See the flyers in the pictures below. Doing what I love today! I just dropped off dinner at Family Promise of Montgomery County. Marla Reynolds and I, representing our Club decided at the last minute to do this when someone else canceled! I got to meet 2 of the Moms and 3 children while setting up the food. They were so excited and happy that we thought about the children by bringing squeeze applesauce and smaller cookies for dessert. I honestly cannot wait to do this again! A boy, about 7 came up and hugged me before I left. All of the children and adults said Thank you! It made my day! We Serve!

We had a great day today at Texas Lions Camp! We participated in a dinner picnic along with 2 other clubs: Houston Royal Oaks and Liberty Lions Clubs where we fed the campers and counselors and other staff members! Then we attended Friday Night Graduation Ceremonies! This is how each camp session ends! At camp graduation we, (our Club) gave a $1,000 scholarship towards college to one of the Camp Counselors. Our lovely recipient will be attending UTSA in the fall and was beyond thrilled with her gift! Then, to my surprise, we acquired a new member that wanted to join, while I was still President. We are so pleased to welcome our newest member, Jake Anderson. This young man attended Texas Lions Camp for 4 years and was so happy to see it from a new perspective, as a Lion and not the Camper. We are so pleased with the way today happened for us all. It IS a great day to be a Lion! WE SERVE!!!

This was our group along with a few members of the Houston Royal Oaks Lions Club but the camper we sent is right in front! Charlie is our camper this session! So proud of our group!
