Meet Mimi Lou, our newest intake šŸ’•

Mimi Lou found herself at Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas at 11 years old. At 12lbs sheā€™s heartworm negative, already spayed and vaccinated. Mimi Lou is a petite girl, enjoys car rides, walks and weā€™re sure sheā€™s going to love snuggling on the couch.

Mimi Lou appears super healthy apart from needing a dental. Weā€™ll do senior bloodwork too to ensure sheā€™s in tip top shape for her new home.

Happy Feel-Good Friday UpdatešŸ¾

There is no better way to head into the weekend than by celebrating this absolute rockstar Bentley!

Bentley is two weeks out of his liver shunt repair surgery and is doing amazing.

He went to visit his friends at Stone Ridge Veterinary Medical Center of Conroe today to have his stitches removed.

We have to wait a few more weeks, do a bile acid test and if thatā€™s normal, this little guy will be available for adoption šŸ©µ

Hope is a beautiful 6- month-old shepherd mix with velvety-soft gray fur and a white star on her chest. Sheā€™s a medium-large breed puppy with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and wonderful manners.

Hope is house trained, doggy-door trained, and incredibly smart. She loves playing with other dogs, gets along great with cats, and is always eager to cuddle.

More than anything, Hope is ready for a family to call her own. Sheā€™s the kind of puppy who will grow into a loyal best friend and fill your home with love.

UPDATE - 9/3 9.50pm Charlesā€™ surgery went very well and he is sleeping peacefully tonight. Heā€™s getting all the good meds and is comfortable.

Our little guy Charles Maxwell is at Neighborhood Veterinary Centers - Nederland today for surgery to repair his broken femur.

Letā€™s all keep him in our thoughts and prayers for an easy surgery and recovery. Heā€™s had a ruff week šŸ˜¢e

Thank you to everyone that shared our little guy Charles Maxwell yesterday. A rescues nighmare - he was newly adopted and got loose from his new dad.

Our team went up to Huntsville to look for him last night.
We walked for miles around the area, handing out our rescue cards and asking everyone we saw if theyā€™d seen him.

We eventually got eyes on Charles, he got up and tried to run but he was hurt šŸ„²he disappeared and then we found him a few minutes later. He was too exhausted to move this time.

Charles was seen by Dr Kitten at Stone Ridge Veterinary Medical Center of Conroe today and he has a broken femur, road rash on his head and a bruised ear. We are guessing he had been hit by a car.

We have taken Charles back into the rescue and we are working on a plan for surgery asap. He is on pain meds and is comfortable and glad to be back indoors on a soft bed.

Please keep our little guy in your thoughts and prayers for an easy surgery and a full recovery.

We welcomed a new intake today.

This sweet, 10-pound female puppy was found abandoned in Magnolia, TX, doing her best to survive by sharing food with the homeowner's dogs.

Thankfully, a foster volunteer's daughter spotted her and brought her home to safety. Her world changed for the better in an instant!

Today, she visited the vet for her first round of puppy vaccines, dewormer, and flea medication, which will also help heal her patchy hair loss. She is officially safe, cared for, and ready for her second chance.

Hi! My name is Sammie and I am a sweet 4-5 year old 12 pound Shih Tzu. I was found in need of some help with my overgrown, flea-invested coat. Once I got all cleaned up, my confidence came back!

Listen, I fell on some hard times so my trust in humans is sometimes a little shaky. However, if you give me a little time and treats, I will most likely let you into my inner circle. Once there you are locked in for life. My favorite thing to do is sit and cuddle with members of my inner circle. I can lounge all day! However, if you want to get up and go we can do that too. I am an excellent car rider and walk well on my leash. As long as I am with my people I am happy!

My second favorite thing to do is play with toys and my foster siblings. I may not be a spring chicken, but I can still be as playful as a puppy! I like all my foster siblingsā€“other dogs, cats, and the humans too.

I am looking for a family who will be patient and give me the time to warm up. I am also a little high maintenance and will need regular groomingā€“it takes a lot to look so handsome! If you think you might be the right family for me go ahead and fill out an app and letā€™s meet!

UPDATE - WE FOUND HIM! He will get checked out at the vet in the morning

One of our recently adopted dogs got loose while on a walk.

Small male terrier, is chipped and friendly. He will likely be scared.
