Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Meeting and keynote speech by Susan Goldberg, President & CEO of GBH . We appreciated her thoughtful perspective on public media, journalism, and the role of trusted information in our democracy.

A special thank you to our members, volunteers, and supporters for another year of civic engagement, voter education, and advocacy. We are grateful to be part of such an engaged community.

With important elections ahead, we look forward to continuing our work to empower voters and foster informed civic engagement.

We are excited to welcome Maya, our summer intern!

Maya just graduated from CCHS and will be attending Brown University this fall, where she plans to concentrate in Policy and Governance. Maya was also the co-president of the CCHS Girl Up Club, an organization that advocates for equity for girls and women and is supported by LWVCC.

Maya will help us with outreach and advocacy, and you might meet her at our table at upcoming summer fairs, including the Democracy & Freedom Fair at First Parish in Concord this coming Saturday.

Be sure to stop by our table and say hello if you see her around town!

We were excited to support the Girl Up Club at the Concord-Carlisle Regional High School during their meeting with State Representative Simon Cataldo. The students invited him to discuss their advocacy for the I AM bill currently under consideration in the Massachusetts State House that would mandate free access to menstrual products in schools and other public buildings in Massachusetts.

LWVCC applauds the CCHS Girl Up Club for its continued advocacy for menstrual equity and thanks Rep. Simon Cataldo for taking the time to engage with the students and for offering practical advice on how to move this effort forward.
