It's Library Card Sign-Up Month, and it's time to get a public library card if you don't already have one! CPL patrons have saved $91,626 so far this year by using our library to check out books, DVDs, audiobooks, ebooks - and that doesn't even begin to cover the benefit from library programs and other resources!

If you know someone who could benefit from using our library, encourage them to stop by 508 E Central Ave and get a card this month!

Got thirty minutes to kill? Drop by the library! We've got our first LEGO challenge of the semester available all day for kids and adults - and it's a little harder than it looks! Stop by and create!

Tuesday was an exciting first day of the Comanche Homeschool Co-op, which meets weekly at our library. Co-op students had an impromptu lesson on community helpers as they watched local firefighters respond to a fire next door.

After the fire, Comanche Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) Chief Jeffery Jacinto came in and demonstrated his safety gear. Chief Jacinto answered questions from the students and explained spontaneous combustion, which caused the fire next door.

Comanche VFD was assisted by Comanche Police Department and city workers who cleaned up debris. Thank you, community helpers!

Stop by the library on Fridays for a different adventure every week! From lego challenges to scavenger hunts to word searches to puzzles, we'll have something new out each week to make Fridays a little more fun at our library!

Join Mia for a fun science experiment focused on the water cycle/water conservation!

Our friends at The Ditch Water Discovery Center are making their way back to Comanche this fall! Mark your calendars for September 21 and November 2 at 10am for a fun, water-based STEM activity for elementary and middle schoolers!
