Hello everyone. Today is my Lone Star Princess, Crista Mallory 's 12th Birthday. I'm asking you to honor Crista"s Birthday by supporting Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals by donating any amount by clicking on the link on this post. Crista and I have been supporting our local CMN Hospital, Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas since Crista was 2 1/2 weeks old. Crista was hospitalized at this CMN Hospital for a seizure disorder. During this hospitalization the Dr.'s found a blank space in her little brain the size of a quarter in her cognitive area. Crista was diagnosed with Asperberger's Syndrome, a form of Autism. Crista was hospitalized at Cooks numerous times. Her lung collapsed when she was 6 during a tonsillectomy surgery performed at another hospital. She became very ill with a temperature of 105. She was transported by Cooks Teddy Bear ambulance from the other hospital who didn't find out that her lung had been collapsed for a week. This CMN Hospital literally saved my little sister's life! We have been dedicated to this CMN Hospital ever since. We've been responsible for almost $20,000 in donations in funds, Teddy Bears for their Prayer Bear Mission, cards, party supplies. Books, holiday treats, and gifts for the children hospitalized at Cooks.
As you already know, Crista and I are very involved with the Miss America Organization but you probably didn't know that one of the exciting opportunities this organization offers is the chance to raise funds for local children's hospitals through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The money I raise will help save children's lives, and a portion will also go to support the Miss America Scholarship Fund.
