Took a quick break from the activities happening inside the ballroom to check out the projections outside Cincinnati Music Hall. Very cool.

I’ve been working and engaging with the organizations inside the hall since 2018 and the building’s beauty still gets to me. It’s such an iconic venue in our community.

I loved seeing so many community members from all walks of life standing together on the lawn of Washington Park to take in the beauty and magic of the light show. This is the power of art and culture- it brings people together who might not otherwise interact with each other.

To learn more about Music Hall, check out Friends of Music Hall and the amazing work that Thea Tjepkema is doing to keep Music Hall’s history alive.

A special shoutout to artist Zuri Ali for sharing her beautiful work with everyone at Blink in the Ballroom! 🎨

Her breathtaking pieces are on display throughout the weekend, giving all of us the chance to experience her artistry up close. And the best part? It’s free to see! ✨

If you’re coming to Music Hall for Blink, take a little time to wander through the ballroom, take in the art and discover the incredible talent in our creative community.

Adoria stopped by to chat with attendees last night about her exhibit, Colorfully Yours. The colors and messages totally added to the vibe in the ballroom. 🎨✨

You still have time to check out the exhibit and the accompanying coloring sheets created just for the event. The exhibit will be up through the weekend.

Thank you to Major Minor Books & Such for their partnership and for sponsoring the coloring sheets for Most Outgrowing LLC!

Took a quick peek in the ballroom, and it’s starting to look VERY cool! ✨

The art exhibits are up, the lights are about to turn on, and we’re almost ready to welcome everyone to Blink in the Ballroom! 💫

I’ll be here every evening from 6:30–10:30 p.m., so if you’re stopping by Music Hall during Blink, come say hi! I’d love to see you, catch up, and experience a little bit of the magic with you.

Bring your people. Come check out the art. Enjoy the music. Soak up the glow. And, of course, come hang out in the ballroom.
✨

See you in the ballroom!

The team at Music Hall are busy preparing the space for Friends of Music Hall’s Blink in The Ballroom event. Light activations are being set up, the organ is being brought out, artwork will soon go up. The fun starts soon!

We ran into Adoria doing her thing down at the mural in front of City Hall yesterday and she had a special invitation that she wanted to extend to community members to come check out her exhibit Colorfully Yours: More Than Meets The Eye along with all of the other cool things that will be taking place.

Check it out and also see a special cameo from Zuri whose art will also be in the room. 🎨

I love how life sometimes brings things to us at just the right time.

Here is a pic of Adoria and Zuri, whose art will be displayed at Blink in the Ballroom at Music Hall this week. They had never met until the BLACK LIVES MATTER! mural refresh brought them together this week. Can’t wait to see the reimagined version of the mural and to highlight Adoria and Zuri’s artwork this week.

Don’t forget to also check out all of the amazing artwork and installations being displayed this week during Cincinnati Art Week.

This city is full of amazing artists doing really dope things. Come out and show your support if you can.

BLINK is back and so is BLINK in the Ballroom, a music and light experience in the ballroom of Music Hall presented by Friends of Music Hall.

This year I’m working with FMH to welcome more attendees to the event and amplify a few amazing artists in our community at the same time.

Take a quick break from the bustle of BLINK, purchase a drink from the bar, and come experience a colorful new exhibit by our dear friend and collaborator Adoria L. Maxberry of Most Outgrowing LLC. This exhibit is full of color, joy, and positivity, just like her! It’s definitely something you don’t want to miss.

Adoria is not stopping at the art on the walls, she’s also bringing it to the next generation of art lovers with a specially curated Music Hall themed coloring sheet for the kids (and big kids) in attendance. So there is a little fun and color for everyone involved.

Also on exhibit will be artwork from local contemporary artist and painter Zuri Ali. Zuri’s art is all about exploring the depths of the human experience and the vulnerability that comes with it. Her pieces are sure to invoke opportunities for self reflection and conversation.

There will be a shimmer wall for the perfect selfie, a botanical model of Music Hall on display and of course the sounds of the Wurlitzer organ playing music from Broadway, film and some of your favorite pop songs, performed by Cincinnati’s own Trent Sims.

There’s a little something for the entire family!

It’s all free and open to the public.

Music Hall is open every night of Blink. Come in and experience the joy and power of art both inside and outside one of Cincy’s most iconic venues.

See you there! ✨
