Kesem at The Ohio State University

Providing free support to children impacted by a parent/caregiver's cancer. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at The Ohio State Uni

versity was founded in 2012 and supports children in the greater Columbus community by providing a two free week-long summer camp experience and year-round peer support. Camp Kesem at The Ohio State University is operated by 100 student volunteers and serves 200 campers ages 6-18 per year. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
