OSU EXTENSION EFNEP territories. In Ohio, EFNEP is administered by Ohio State University Extension. The adult program serves adults with children in the household.

EFNEP is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and operates through Extension programs at land grant institutions in every state and in the six U.S. EFNEP is a free program offered in 18 counties in Ohio and has two components - a youth program and an adult program. They learn how to make healthier, safer, and lower-cost food choices for themselves and their families. They boost th

eir ability to choose and buy food that is healthier for their families. They gain new skills in food preparation, storage, and safety. They learn how to better manage their food budgets, and how to increase their physical activity levels. The youth program is administered to children in Butler, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Montgomery, and Summit Counties. The children learn about nutrition, food preparation, food safety, and physical activity.

I’ve been overweight all my life. Recently, I’ve read a little about what controls hunger and appetite. Are there foods I can eat that will help me feel fuller sooner, so I eat less?
