A Toledo school nurse commented that she “appreciated the thorough education on eye conditions and training resources. The information was thorough, but not filled with unnecessary extras.” This free training was made possible in part through the Save Our Sight Fund https://bit.ly/3TWPQD8 at the Ohio Department of Health.

The focus of the Save Our Sight Fund is to provide early detection of vision problems and the promotion of good eye health and safety.

PBO would like to thank our wonderful friends at Journal Capital for their generous offering of their box seats to our staff and Board members at last night's Columbus Blue Jackets v Florida Panthers hockey game. Despite CBJ's 7-3 loss, it was a very fun evening for all!

Prevent Blindness Ohio, in partnership with Cincinnati Health Department, promoted World Sight Day 2026 activities at Oyler Vision Center (Cincinnati Public Schools) and Academy of World Languages School Vision Center last week! We provided World Sight Day campaign educational materials, conducted 78 comprehensive eye exams and fitted and dispensed 120 pairs of glasses. Our participation at this great event was made possible by funding from Alkeus, Amgen, and ANI.
