The Grandview Heights Baseball team defeated Granville Christian Academy 12-2 on Monday, May 25 in tournament play.

The #5 seeded Bobcats jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Beckett Joubert was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Landon Roberts was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Zach Loy doubled, scoring three runs, and Grant Gambone hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Grandview Heights Varsity Bobcats added five more runs in the bottom of the third inning on six hits. Joubert hit a solo home run to left field, Loy tripled, scoring one run, Sam Bandy singled, scoring one run, and Kinny Wilson singled, scoring two runs.

Wilson earned the win for Grandview Heights Varsity Bobcats. The hurler surrendered six hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Grandview lost to Northmor in the District Semifinals 5-4 on May 26 to end their season.

School Record!!!! The Grandview Heights Girls 4x800 Relay team of Julia Albright, Hadley Mickley, Mary Herlihy, and Maci Tew set a new school record with a time of 9:44.82. The relay won the race and have advanced to the regionals.

The previous school record was set in 2010 by Anna Davis, Hillary Ells, Emily Lachey, and Hannah Stefanoff.

Grandview Heights Boys Tennis team defeated Bloom-Carroll 3-1 on April 27. Rain moved in causing the second doubles team not to finish their match.

Singles: Reo (G) def. Gutman 7-6, 6-4; J.BrownBorden (B) def. Byers 6-2, 2-6, 0-6; Heald (G) def. Sawchuk 6-2, 6-0. Doubles: Russell-Snyder (G) def. E.BrownBorden-Kim 6-3, 6-1; Evans-Jackson (B) DNF vs. Tippett-Petty 4-6, 3-0.

The Bobcats (7-4) face Big Walnut tonight, May 6 at home at McKinley Field.
