Equitas Health Equitas Health is a statewide community healthcare system in Ohio. Our care teams, pharmacy, and program staff meet people where they are.

Built on a 40-year legacy of HIV and LGBTQ+ advocacy, Equitas Health serves anyone looking for a welcoming healthcare home. Working together, we increase access to affirming care by putting people in charge of their healthcare journeys. Our work continues until good health no longer depends on race or class, education or ZIP code, gender identity or sexual orientation. We offer*:

Austin (pictured left), the Equitas Health Akron Pharmacy Manager, was recently honored at the 2027 Cleveland Person of Gear ceremony hosted by CLEather & Kink 👏🏆

The Cleveland Person of Gear title is a celebration of self-expression, visibility, and community involvement within the Northeast Ohio leather, fe**sh, and kink scene. Austin was the first person to hold this title! 🙌🤩

As their final act as the 2026 Cleveland Person of Gear title holder, Austin gave their step aside speech highlighting what they accomplished, and thanking those who contributed to their success during their year as the inaugural title holder.

Over 1.5 million Americans in greatest need of PrEP still can't get it. This , join Equitas Health & Mozaic in urging Congress to support legislation that protects & expands PrEP access. 👏👏

There are currently 4 pieces of legislation that address critical barriers to PrEP access:

- PrEP Assistance Program Act | This legislation would establish a national PrEP grant program and federal reimbursement for uninsured people. Importantly, grants could support PrEP medications, laboratory services, clinical visits including telehealth, counseling, navigation, outreach, transportation, and other services.

- PrEP Access and Coverage Act of 2026 | These companion bills would strengthen access to PrEP and support the outreach, education, services, and navigation needed to connect people with prevention and keep them engaged.

- PrEP and PEP are Prevention Act | This legislation would require health plans—including Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and federal employee health plans—to cover FDA-approved PrEP and PEP, along with associated testing and services, without cost-sharing.

- PrEP Access Act | This legislation would expand Medicare coverage of HIV prevention services provided by pharmacists, including PrEP and PEP evaluation, testing, counseling, medication administration, and related services.
