A lot of people have questions about W&T night, and Ricky and Reda are here to answer them!

WHAT IS WOMYN & TRANS NIGHT?

Womyn and Trans Night is a dedicated community shop night designed to provide a supportive, DIY shop space for individuals from marginalized gender groups.

Who Is This Space For?

This night is exclusively for those who identify as:

• Cis-women (assigned female at birth and identify as women)
• Trans individuals
• Non-binary, Genderqueer, and Agender individuals
• Any other marginalized gender identities

*Note to Allies: We ask that cis-men (assigned male at birth and identify as men) support our mission by respecting this exclusive space and sharing details about the event with friends who may benefit from it.

Why an Exclusive Night?

The bicycle industry and mechanical trades are often overwhelmingly dominated by cis-men. This environment can foster intimidation or systemic discrimination, making it difficult for other genders to gain experience and participate while feeling supported and comfortable.

Womyn & Trans Night creates a welcoming environment where you can:

• Learn: Work with skilled volunteers to understand how your bike functions.
• Repair: Access tools and parts to fix your own ride or learn to wrench on shop bikes and volunteer.
• Shop: Purchase used bikes and components in a low-pressure setting.
• Hang Out: We are building the community we want to see!

Bicycle maintenance is a powerful tool for independence.

Regardless of your current skill level, we invite you to join us or help us share this and spread the word!💜

Hi everyone! Sorry to say, but Womyn & Trans night tonight will be cancelled due to scheduling issues with me and Reda.

But!!! You’ll get see us at Comfest starting tomorrow through Sunday! Come on down and say hi, tune up your bike, and tell passerby what you love about Third Hand!

The next Womyn & Trans Night will be on July 10th, 2025, 6 to 9 pm. See you there!

Volunteers are needed at our tent @ Comfest 6/27 - 6/29. You'll answer general questions about Third Hand and may help anyone that stops by for a repair. A THBC Coordinator will also be at all shifts to help. Volunteer credit hours are earned. Free THBC shirt to all volunteers. Link to sign-up in profile. . .
