Personally, I don’t care what nationality she goes by.

In the United States, the racial category "Black" or "African American" generally refers to people who have origins in any of the Black racial groups of Africa.

A Jamaican, which her father is, would generally be classified under the broader racial category of "Black" or "African.

Since her father was born during The "1/16 rule" which is a part of the broader historical concept of "blood quantum" or "one-drop rule," which was used in the United States to classify individuals based on their racial heritage, particularly for people of African descent.

The 1/16 rule suggests that if a person had at least 1/16th Black ancestry, they would be considered Black.

So maybe you should check your heritage to find out how you fit in. lol.
