We’re so grateful to Northwestern Mutual - Columbus for hosting their 7th annual Scramble for a Cure on May 11, supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and NC4K. Thanks to the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, NC4K received a $25,000 gift to support families facing childhood cancer.

This event brings people together in such a meaningful way to support families facing childhood cancer, and we’re honored to be one of the beneficiaries alongside Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Last week's "Positivity Wednesday" post had a lot of engagement, so let's try this again, shall we?

One of the main focuses of our mission is to build a community of support for our families, and that community includes a variety of backgrounds and culture. With the melting pot that is the NC4K community, we figured it would be nice if our families shared some of the food they've always enjoyed with each other.

Drop your favorite go-to quick dinner (and recipe if you're willing) so that we can all try some new food as we head into the summer. You don't have to drop your grandma's secret cookie recipe (although, we wouldn't complain if you did) but just a quick, easy dish that you can share with everyone that helps plan out their their upcoming meals.

It's basically a virtual potluck that you don't have to cook for :)

30 students from Madison Christian School volunteered at the NC4K office and what a difference they made. 💛

Together, they rolled up their sleeves to help build our Gala guest gifts, each one created with care for a night that celebrates the families we serve. It might seem like a small task, but it’s part of something much bigger, helping create an experience that fuels the support NC4K families rely on every day.

To these students: thank you for showing up, bringing great energy, and being part of this work in such a hands-on way. Because of you, we’re one step closer to a meaningful night that makes a real impact.

For the families we walk alongside at NC4K, the hard days are heavy. But one of the things we've learned is that good moments (even tiny ones) are oxygen. They remind us we're not alone, and they give us something to hold onto.
