If you search Augusta Chiwy. You’ll find words like hero, nurse, and The Angel of Bastogne.
Behind those words is another powerful story of extraordinary courage and compassion when on April 13, 1945 American soldiers of the U.S. 30th Infantry Division rescued and liberated over 2500 Jewish prisoners on a death train, which displayed true hope and compassion instead of the many horrific events that took place during World War II.

Take a moment as you search about the courage of Augusta Chiwy and learn how that same courage transcends into the story of A Train Near Magdeburg. 💻✨
