🎈🧡 Happy Heavenly 8th Birthday, Ro'mere Harris 🧡🎈

Today, Ro'mere Harris would have celebrated his 8th birthday.

For Mothers Of Murdered Columbus Children Ro'mere Harris' story became the catalyst for a movement that continues to impact lives every single day.

On August 12, 2020, after the heartbreaking murder of 2-year-old Ro'mere in the community where I teach, I reached a breaking point. I posted on Facebook that "Enough is Enough!" and declared that I had to do something simultaneous as Co-Founder Karla Harris. We joined forces , and together we created what would become Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children. What started as a call to action quickly grew into a sisterhood, a support system, and a movement dedicated to ending violence and supporting families impacted by murder.

Today, representatives from MOMCC had the honor of stopping by Ro'mere's birthday celebration to show love to his family and to say, "Happy Heavenly Birthday, Sweet Angel." 🕊️💙

While Ro'mere's time on earth was brief, his legacy continues to live on through every life touched by MOMCC, every family supported, every youth reached, and every effort made to create safer communities.

We will never forget you, Ro'mere. Thank you for unknowingly being the spark that ignited a mission of pain to purpose, light, love, and action.
