On Wednesday, October 28, Scotus American History students participated in County Government Day, hosted by the American Legion!

Students got an inside look at how Platte County government operates by touring departments throughout the courthouse, meeting with staff, and learning about the important services they provide to our community.

To wrap up the day, students joined other schools from across the county for a mock trial, where volunteers served as jurors and witnesses. Scotus students JR Olerich, Julia McPhillips, and Rachel Spawn were called to the stand as witnesses and did a fantastic job!

What a great hands-on learning experience for our students! Thank you to the American Legion and everyone who helped make this opportunity possible!

Last Friday, our Student Council kicked off our first Fun Friday! This new initiative is all about spreading positivity, building school spirit, and creating a fun school atmosphere. We can't wait for more!

Yesterday, our Scotus juniors participated in mock interviews, gaining valuable experience, practicing their interview skills, and building confidence for the future!

A big thank you to our community members who took time out of their day to interview our students and share helpful feedback. We appreciate your support in helping prepare our students for success beyond the classroom!

Columbus Catholic Schools invites our generous donors to join us for our Donor Appreciation Social on Thursday, November 12, from 6:30–8:30 PM at Scotus Central Catholic's Dowd Activity Center!

Enjoy an evening of appetizers, drinks, an 8th Grade Science Fair Showcase, and a special presentation from guest speaker John Petersen.

This is a no-ask event! Simply an opportunity for us to say THANK YOU for your generosity and continued support of Catholic education.

On Thursday, October 22, Fr. Zach Tucker celebrated a special Teaching Mass with our Scotus students!

Throughout the Mass, Fr. Tucker explained the meaning behind different prayers, words, and actions to help students better understand what we do during Mass and why. Students also received booklets with additional explanations.

This was a great opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the Mass and grow in their faith!
