For September’s professional development, the staff spent some time reflecting on storms/pressures we face and the roots that help us remain grounded, healthy, and fruitful.

We also touched on interdependent thinking and how a high performing team works together, creating a web of support. Focusing on how we can assist one another without tripping over one another (see the Brewers example in the comments).

And there was pizza and ice cream. Because, yum.

Over the weekend, the Recovery Engagement Center hosted its first-ever outdoor movie night: Courage Under the Stars! ✨🐠⚓️ We projected the 2003 film, "Finding Nemo" on the side of our building and set up swimming pools to lounge in.

It was a swimming-good time with 29 movie-goers and 5 new families who joined us for the first time!

Our popcorn was from Poptique Popcorn and served next to Walking Tacos and movie theater sweets. 🍿🍫🍭

And here's a sweet note that was shared with us after: "Last night was so much fun! Thank you for all that you do!! I appreciate you and your time you put into us humans."

We're so glad to have this opportunity to bring our community together each month. 💙

It’s hard to imagine living a life NOT filled with hope, but the reality is…we all know someone who is feeling hopeless right now. ❤️‍🩹😢

Today, some of our team members joined our residents for their Hope Rising class and wrapped boxes filled with Hopeful prayers, thoughts, messages, scripture, encouragement and words filled with hope. 🎁🥹

When some are feeling depleted of their Hope, others can share the gift of hope and receive it back all within the same transaction. 🎁

10 VERY IMPORTANT reasons to play in our Driving Hope Golf Outing, as explained by our celebrity lineup 😜

Last night a group of Mission 25 staff and families gathered at our Miami Village community center to pray and write encouraging messages for the upcoming school year.

Spoken and silent prayers were lifted for each student we serve, each of their teachers, and for their families. Prayers for wisdom, safety, peace, and courage throughout this school year. Lord, guide them as they learn and grow!
