The votes are in and the people have spoken! Designs #1 and #8 have won the single color and multi color design contest for 2026 Pride month! These designs as well as the other seven will be up on an online store soon so keep your peepers peeled 🫪
20% of all online store proceeds will be coming back to Whitley County Pride to help us keep doing what we’re doing and achieving our mission of creating an inclusive, accepting, and strong community connections to better serve those in the LGBTQIA+ community right here at home ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

🌈 Pride Month is HERE, and we’re not slowing down!

Throughout June, Whitley County Pride will continue hosting events, building community, supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and creating spaces where everyone can feel seen, valued, and welcomed. Pride Month isn’t just about one event, it’s about showing up for each other every single day.

💡 Did you know?
Whitley County Pride receives the majority of its funding through memberships and community support. We don’t have large corporate sponsors funding our mission, we rely on people like you who believe that everyone deserves a place to belong.

For just:
✨ $10 per year for an Individual Membership
✨ $30 per year for a Household Membership

You can help support our work while receiving:
✔️ Access to members-only events
✔️ Access to our members-only Facebook group
✔️ Future membership perks that we’re actively working to expand and improve

Every membership, every donation, every volunteer hour, and every show of support helps us continue serving Whitley County and creating opportunities for connection, education, advocacy, and celebration.

It’s that time of year again! 🏳️‍🌈

This Pride Month, we are done shrinking ourselves to make other people comfortable.

We are here. We are q***r. We are not going back into the closet, back into silence, or back into hiding who we are.

Being LGBTQ+ is not a debate. It is not a trend. It is not something to “tolerate.” We are human beings deserving of the same love, safety, dignity, and respect as everyone else.

Pride exists because people before us fought to live openly in a world that told them they shouldn’t exist. We honor them by continuing to show up loudly, authentically, and unapologetically.

To every person still finding their voice, still learning to love themselves, or still searching for a safe place in this world: you are not alone. You are seen. You are loved. And you deserve to take up space exactly as you are.
That is why Whitley County Pride exists.

🌈 We heard the concerns regarding a photo we shared today, and while the photo was taken from a public street, we have removed the business signage from the image.

But we still wanted to share the photo.

Why? Because it represents Whitley County — the community we live in, work in, volunteer in, and love.

At the end of the day, we aren’t asking for special treatment. We aren’t asking everyone to agree with us. We simply want to be treated with the same love, dignity, and respect that every person deserves.

We are your neighbors, your coworkers, your friends, your family members, and fellow members of this community. We exist, and we belong here too.

It’s disheartening when something as simple as a photo celebrating our community becomes a source of controversy. But our message remains unchanged:

Love thy neighbor.

Let’s celebrate Pride in Whitley County. Let’s celebrate community. Let’s celebrate kindness. And let’s remember that treating people with respect costs nothing.

We love Whitley County, and we’re not going to stop loving Whitley County.

Well… we told you we’d be talking about it today. 🌈✨

Y’ALL. SHOWED. UP.

Last night’s Drag Show was absolutely one for the books! From the moment the doors opened until the final performance, the energy in the room was electric. The laughter was loud, the cheers were louder, and the love and support for our LGBTQ+ community was impossible to miss.

To our incredible performers, THANK YOU. You looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL, brought your A-game, and gave us a show we’ll be talking about for a long time. 🔥

And as Alaska says…

After seeing those outfits, wigs, makeup, and performances? We believe it. Every. Single. Penny. 😂✨

A huge thank you to The Press Room Event Center Bar & Grill for providing such a beautiful venue and serving up delicious food and drinks all night long. You helped create an atmosphere that felt welcoming, fun, and unforgettable. 🍕🍹

Thank you as well to SWORN Protection LLC for providing security for the event. As always, your professionalism, support, and commitment to helping our community feel safe does not go unnoticed. ❤️

And finally, thank YOU.
