We will be open this Thursday from 9 to 1 for shopping. Please keep in mind that we can NOT take clothing donations currently. We are buried in bags to unpack due to the generosity of the community. We CAN take housewares, toys and shoes.

Also, we will be open next Monday, the 31st, from 5 to 7, to give those that work during the day a chance to shop.

We have two things to announce. Number one...we need to take a break from accepting clothing donations. We have a lot of bags to catch up on so until further notice, we will NOT be taking clothing donations. Housewares, books and toys are fine.

Number two, we will be open on Monday, August 31st from 5pm to 7pm for a modified Back to School night. We have not been able to get prepared the way we have in the past, but we will be open for shopping for those that can not make it during our regular hours. Please let your friends know.

Thank you for all the kind words of sympathy and encouragement to us as we learn how to get along without Cindy.

We will be open for shopping and dropping off donations this Thursday from 9 to 1.

Although some of you are already aware, we are saddened to announce the unexpected death of our co-worker Cindy Fama. Our prayers are with her friends and family as they grieve this great loss.

Cindy was a power house of a worker...kind of like the Energizer bunny, she never seemed to tire. Often after working 4 strenuous hours at the Closet, she would then go and do an interview for the newspaper. She loved writing and was a very talented wordsmith. She went above and beyond and out of her way to pick up donations for the Closet or meet someone who "just had to drop things off right now" when we weren't open.

Cindy loved her Colton Community and the school activities. And the Kentucky Wildcats and the Portland Trailblazers.

We will probably never fill her shoes at the Closet. She was one of a kind. She would tell us to keep on going and we will. We will laugh at her Cindy moments and shed a tear too.

She is pain free now and praising her Lord and Savior in her new heavenly home. Those of us still here in our earthly home will miss her until our day comes.
