February 26:

Wednesday morning we were all smiles as the sun came out.
We partnered again with Roxanne and her book mobile in the Estacada Public Library Parking Lot!

We had 10 friends and neighbors come by for books, coffee, hygiene supplies and conversations!

Building Clackamas Village

Clackamas County is building a new transitional housing community

The Clackamas Village builds on the success of the adjacent Veteran’s Village and will look and operate similarly.

The Clackamas Village will serve adult women and men, the county will ensure that the Clackamas Village will be well- managed and will benefit the neighborhood.

Services will include onsite staff, health care, life skills training, healthy food, and assistance to find housing and employment as well as the creation of a peer community, mental health and recovery services, counseling, financial education, and more.

Transitional, or temporary, housing helps people move out of homelessness by offering a safe place to live that includes the social services and other supports they need to successfully move on to permanent, independent housing.

Having sufficient resources like this in the county will help eliminate homelessness here, which will make the community more safe and secure.

January 29th:

💚 We partnered with Estacada Public Library this week as a pop-up in the parking lot to offer lunches, books, warm drinks and cookies!

We welcomed 10 patrons for lunch & hygiene supplies, and learned a lot of new things about Estacada!

Thank you to Roxanne for the wonderful books and cheer!

We look forward to the exciting opening of Brax Laundry in Estacada this Spring!!

One of those marvelous humans is Rob Campbell of Made in Milwaukie and ShirtNerdery!! He is a printing wizard, always churning out the highest quality apparel for LoveOne and The Father's Heart, and has the patience of a saint for putting up with all of our emergent printing needs and special requests!!
