The writing has been on the wall for some time that center-right mainstream voters need to organize to preserve and protect our constitutional rights and freedom. Ohio Governor John Kasich supports Common Core.

I went to an LAUSD training on the Common Core State Standards in November, and after the training I had many more concerns about the intent of the standards, the educational appropriateness of the implementation of the standards, and the standards themselves than I did before I walked in the door.

D’s want to extend the scope of government domination of our children’s education

Democrats in the Ohio Senate have introduced legislation that will essentially strip parents of their natural right to control the education of their children. With the Common Core standards, liberal-progressives are attempting to have total control upon the content of our children’s education from pre-kindergarten through high school. Now they want to extend that control to deny parents their essential parental right to choose how their children are educated, including the choice to homeschool or eSchool their children. The liberal-progressives want to control not only what is taught but where it is taught—taking, without the parent’s consent, the children from the home to be educated in the government-controlled public schools. The concept of liberty is increasingly a foreign idea to liberal-progressives and they are not afraid to demonstrate that fact.

This legislation replaces the authority of a child's parent in determining if home education can be pursued under 3301-34 regulations (tagged to Revised Code 3321.04) or if students should have access to eSchools by designating public children's service agencies the sole authority to allow the "appl...
