https://www.stemedcoalition.org/take-action

Congress is currently considering Fiscal Year 2027 funding priorities, and proposed cuts to education and science programs could significantly impact STEM learning opportunities nationwide. Strong federal investments in STEM education are essential to preparing students for high-demand careers, strengthening our economy, and maintaining U.S. leadership in innovation and technology.

Now is the time to speak up. Contact your Senators and Representative and urge them to protect and strengthen funding for critical STEM education programs!

VPOST Executive Director, Blaire Denson, participated in the 50 State Afterschool Network (50stateafterschoolnetworks.org) meeting in Denver, CO, last week. Keynote speaker, Lieutenant Governor of Colorado, Dianne Primavera, delivered a dynamic message about the importance of OST and its impact on youth development.

Emani Morse, with Collaborative Communications, helped coordinate the meetings, and Blaire was thrilled to see her Virginia colleague and NAA Next Gen Leader at the 50 State meeting.

Colleague Elizabeth Anderson from the North Carolina Center for Afterschool Programs (NC Center for Afterschool Programs) and Blaire enjoyed time together to strategize support as neighbors to regional coalitions in VA and NC.
