Good morning everyone this is an update on the boat ramp construction project. The contractor has advised us that he’s going to need a few more days of cure time on the concrete slab before he can install it. We’re now updating the install date to the may 19-21 weather permitting. Once the install is complete then will be issuing boat ramp keys for the 26-27 season!

Dear Placid Bay Community,

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that David and Karen Roberts were taken from us last night. This is an unimaginable tragedy for their family and for our entire Placid Bay community.

David and Karen were important and cherished members of our community. They worked tirelessly to renovate and restore our community center, restore the dams, coordinate and organize events and social activities, and keep fellow residents connected and informed through social media. Their dedication and commitment to Placid Bay were immeasurable.

We have lost two truly special individuals, and they will be missed terribly. During this difficult time, we respectfully ask that, out of consideration for the family and our community, everyone refrain from speculation, gossip, or the sharing of unverified information.

A memorial service will be held in their honor in the near future, and details will be shared as they become available.

Please keep the Roberts family, their loved ones, and all those affected by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn together as a community.

With heartfelt sympathy,

Dave Czako,

PBCA President
