An Inclusive Christian Community at the University of Maryland! Visit our website to learn more! Our faith is not something static.

Worship every Sunday 5-7pm at Hope Lutheran Church and Student Center and ministry throughout the week. As life goes on, we are continuously walking as part of our faith journey, with God at our side. We invite the University of Maryland community to go on this humble walk with God together, knowing that we might be in different places, we are imperfect and mess up, and we don't know everything there is to know. Sundays: Worship and free dinner, 5-7 pm at Hope Lutheran Church (1420 Guilford Drive, behinds Commons 7)

The Humble Walk has been able to be a ministry for students for 75 years because of the support from alumni, family, friends, and congregations. Thank you in supporting us as we continue to be a place for students to learn and grow for years to come!

Europe Trip - Final Reflections

The Humble Walk is back in the United States (except for those who decided to stay back and pursue their own travels)!

These three weeks were full of connection and discovery. In Germany, students connected with college students that hosted them. In Geneva, they spent time discovering larger religious organizations such as the world council of churches. During the week in Taizé, students connected with others our age from all around the world. While walking to Santiago de Compostela, they connected with others on the path and at hostels.

From the reflective prayers in Taizé to the quiet walks on the Camino, students had plenty of time with our own thoughts. Humble Walkers coming back with the mindset of meshing the “real world” with the “vacation world” we were just in because, in reality, everything is the real world.

Thank you to everyone who followed along with our travels and thank to those who help make these trips possible.
