Community, Advocacy & Early Detection Save Lives! 💙👟

State Representative Bud Williams joined community advocates, leaders, and families at the track for the 2nd Annual Walk for Prostate Cancer Awareness, honoring the late Alvin J. McKenzie, Sr.

State Rep Bud Williams presented an official citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives honoring the McKenzie family and the Alvin J. McKenzie Scholarship Fund for their dedicated community work, outreach, and awareness efforts.

Thanks to ongoing advocacy, community education, and partnerships with organizations like MOCHA (Men of Color Health Awareness) and AdMeTech Foundation, prostate cancer rates in Springfield and the surrounding region are moving in the right direction.

Resources & Equity: Emma from AdMeTech’s Prostate Cancer Equity Program highlighted vital community health resources—reminding everyone that support, expert second opinions, and patient navigation are available regardless of where you are in your health journey.

A Call for Total Family Health 💪🏾🏥 Speakers emphasized the urgent need for regular checkups, early detection, and knowing your body—advocating screening awareness for both men (prostate health) and women (breast health).

A heartfelt thank-you went out to all community partners, faith leaders, volunteers, and participants who came together to uplift one another and save lives
