October is Fire Prevention Month, and our Chipley Head Start children had an exciting hands-on learning experience thanks to the Chipley Fire Department! Chipley Fire Rescue 🚒🔥

Firefighters visited our Chipley Head Start center with one of their fire trucks, giving the children the opportunity to explore the truck, walk through it, and learn about the important equipment firefighters use to help keep our community safe.

Hands-on experiences like these help children build confidence, become familiar with firefighters and their equipment, and learn valuable fire safety lessons in a fun and meaningful way. We are so thankful to the Chipley Fire Department for taking the time to teach and inspire our young learners while helping make Fire Prevention Month memorable!

Thank you for your service and for helping us promote fire safety in our community! ❤️🚒

Our young scientists in Ms. LaTina and Ms. Jhovana's classroom had an exciting time exploring science by making bouncy eggs using vinegar!

During this hands-on experiment, the children observed how vinegar reacted with the eggs over time and watched the egg transform into a bouncy egg. This engaging activity helped strengthen observation skills, encouraged critical thinking, and introduced basic science concepts in a fun and meaningful way. Experiences like these help children develop curiosity, make connections through discovery, and build a strong foundation for future learning.
