💜 OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH 💜

Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate. It affects WOMEN, MEN, and CHILDREN. And every single one of them deserves to be seen, heard, believed, and protected.

📊 THE STATISTICS ARE HEARTBREAKING:

💜 WOMEN: More than 1 in 3 women (34%) in the United States have experienced sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

💙 MEN: More than 1 in 6 men (17%) have experienced these same forms of intimate partner violence. Men suffer in silence, too. Their pain is just as real, and their voices deserve to be heard.

🧸 CHILDREN: Too often, children are the forgotten victims of domestic violence. Even when they aren’t physically harmed, witnessing violence in their own homes can leave emotional scars that last a lifetime.

Think about that for a moment.

These aren’t just statistics. These are mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, neighbors, coworkers, and people sitting beside us in church.

Some are hiding bruises. Some are hiding fear. And some are children lying awake at night, praying the fighting will stop.

Abuse is abuse, regardless of gender or age.

At Eye of Hope Recovery Advocates, we believe every victim matters. We cannot speak out for women while overlooking men, and we cannot forget the children growing up in the middle of it all.

📢 **STORM SUPPLY UPDATE**

**Only sandbags and water remain available at this time at EOC in Bonifay.**
Another supply truck is on the way with tarps and MRE's, and we will post an update once it arrives and supplies are ready for pickup. They will be distributed to other locations as well.

Thank you for your patience as we work to replenish supplies for our community. Please continue following this page for updates.

Tarps, sandbags, MREs and water are available now at the EOC, 1001 E. Highway 90, Bonifay. Please follow the message board directing pickup traffic.

Beginning at 9:30 AM today, MREs and water will also be available at:

• PDL Sheriff’s Substation: 1567 Highway 90, Ponce de Leon
• Pine Log Fire Station: 1652 N. Highway 81, Westville
• New Hope EMS/Fire Station: 1969 Highway 2, Westville
