Speak up, be active, and keep the funds to get paid for the necessary work provided by Direct Support Professionals!

Temporary federal funding is expiring. The obligations remain. Michigan needs to replace those dollars with sustainable, ongoing state funding in the FY27 budget.

Direct Care Workers and ALL stakeholders need to take action and contact lawmakers to advocate for full funding of workers' pay as the budget for Fiscal Year 2026/27 is determined. If something is required, it should be funded!!! It is time to get involved.

Michigan’s direct care workers help people with disabilities live safely and independently in their homes and communities. But despite years of policy commitments, funding intended to support higher wages has too often failed to reach providers, families, and workers.

FUNDRAISER
The Branch County Humane Society is hosting its annual Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser on April 25, with participating teams required to raise a minimum of $200. 🎳🐾

To help reach our goal, Adapt’s team—made up of members from Haven Home—is hosting a bake sale on April 4, 2026, beginning at 9 AM at Family Farm and Home in Coldwater. Last year we sold out!!! 🍪❤️ All proceeds will support the Humane Society, and we’re so grateful to Family Farm and Home for generously hosting our sale! 🙌
