The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV) is an organization that partners with communities served by Insight Hospital and focuses on supporting youth within those communities.

We're excited to announce that SBEV is starting an after school program for students in grades K-8 in Bronson at Chicago Street School (in the former space used by the Bronson Youth Center)!

A behind the scenes sneak peak for our FY 2026 Annual Report!

YAC members visited Bronson Rocket Football & Cheerleading, a grantee who received funds for safety equipment. YACers got to visit with players, watch their impact first hand, and even had a chance to use the new tackle equipment!

Today, leads from the Southwest Michigan Child Care Coalition, Region 8, came together to celebrate county-level successes, talk through shared challenges, and map out where we're headed next.

The conversation focused on the goals that matter most: closing gaps in access, learning from what's working county to county, and building a strategic plan for the coming fiscal year to strengthen child care systems across our region.

Grateful for a team this committed to making quality child care a reality in Region 8!
