We are so excited to have Pianist and composer Michael Stephen Brown Michael Stephen Brown perform Beethoven’s Sonata in F-sharp major, Op. 78, Chopin’s Barcarolle, Ravel’s Miriors, Samuel Adler’s A Struggle Between Darkness and Light, and an original composition Four Lakes for Children at the Chapel Restoration on Sunday, May 10 at 4pm. The concert at the historic landmark on the banks of the Hudson River is free and open to all. Donations are encouraged. No tickets required. Seating is first come, first serve.
Michael is a 2025 MacDowell Fellow and 2024 Yaddo Artist who performs recitals and concertos worldwide and is commissioned by leading orchestras, soloists, and chamber music festivals. He has appeared as soloist with the Seattle, Phoenix, North Carolina, Albany, and Maryland Symphonies, as well as the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra. His recital appearances include Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Louvre, Wigmore Hall, and Beethoven-Haus Bonn, and he has been awarded an Emerging Artist Award from Lincoln Center, an Avery Fisher Career Grant, the 2026 Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, and first prize at the 2010 Concert Artists Guild competition.
